Recently Stratford Dental was approached by a patient going to Mexico on a mission trip. Donated toothbrushes / toothpaste made it to many children!
Our Food Bank Challenge finished on Friday, December 22nd, 2017. All items were delivered to House of Blessing that afternoon.
We're doing it again this year! Dr. Barlow / Dr. Smisek and Dr. Lipa have challenged us to see what office can generate the most food for House of Blessing

We had a great day at Heartburn Day 2017 on Saturday, Feb. 4th. The theme was "Decades" so we dressed our booth up like the 1980's.

Patients of all ages can have dentistry done while asleep at our office. Patients apprehensive about dental treatment no longer need to be scared.
New sod was laid 5 weeks ago. Watering has been constant but the results are fantastic!!
Grading of the earth has begun for the landscaping. Sod and a flower bed will surround the building.
Landscaping and final coat of asphalt will begin shortly. We are all looking forward to putting the final touches on our wonderful building.

The new spandrel glass has arrived and is being installed. The North facing aspect of the building looks very, very sharp.
Millwork and dental cabinets have all arrived now. Installation is almost complete. All new dental chairs arrive on Monday.
The dental cabinets in all the operatories have arrived and are currently being installed. The Sterilization Centre is made of starboard material.
Painting has started in the Board Room, Consult Room and Staff area. The waiting room looks fantastic with the tile complete behind the front desk area.
Floor tile has begun to be laid in the dental operatories. The main floor corridor will have a beautiful bulkhead.
The mudding of dry wall has begun. The exterior of the building looks stunning and isn't even complete. Upstairs is heaven with SO many windows. :)
Stratford Dental suite dry wall has started. The parking lot has been surfaced with asphalt. A smooth layer of asphalt will occur in Spring.
In a dental office, most walls must have lead lining within to avoid any scatter radiation. The upstairs lease space is beautiful with SO many windows.
The main sidewalk at the entrance of the building was poured Tuesday. Curbs were poured Wednesday.
Septic tanks were installed today. Unfortunately the windows are a little delayed.
The dark window frames accent the stone and brick really well.
The steel studs in the basement start to give shape to the staff area. Plywood backing will give support to x-ray heads, etc. Stairways started also.
Excavation and preparation for the Septic System started today. The roof was started and my office space is starting to take shape with the steel studs.
The water well drilling was started this week as did the roof.

The lighter colour brick is starting to be laid on the North side. The contrast of stone and brick will look sharp when complete.

Scaffolding for the mason to place the stone and brick went up today. As well, the concrete on the main floor was poured.
Steel framing of the windows give the exterior some character and shape now.
The foundation has now been backfilled with stone and gravel. Excavation has begun to level and manipulate the earth for the future parking lot.
This is an updated conceptual drawing of the building. The colours of brick, stone, and details are updated. This building is going to be stunning!

The Stratford and District Dental Society is having a Sports Guard Clinic September 8th - 11th, 2015. Stratford Dental is participating!
The basement walls are complete. Steel to be erected next week.
Forms have been removed and the entire height of the basement foundation can be seen. Note the window wells turned out very well.

The West basement foundation walls have been poured and erected. Cinder block being built around elevator shaft.
The basement level reinforcement bars are up. Forms in the South/West corner have been erected. Pouring concrete for the basement walls began today.
Footings are complete and re-bar has been placed. Construction continues to move forward.
Concrete continues to arrive and the footings are almost fully poured around the entire circumference. The elevator base is poured.
Some of the perimeter footings were poured today as was the base for the elevator.
Excavating continued today at the work site for the foundation / basement.
Excavator was hard at work today digging the basement and foundation. It is quite a hole. I even helped out with my shovel!
Heavy machinery arrived Saturday, June 14th, 2015 to skim the top soil on the site of the new office / professional building. The foundation is next.
The contractor (MCI) trailer has arrived on site and the footprint of the new building has been staked. Ground breaking planned for week of June 1st!
Stratford Dental was proud to participate in Heart and Stroke Heartburn Day February 7th, 2015.
Christmas is a time of giving. We at Stratford Dental thought we'd drop off a package of goodies to the House of Blessing today. :)
Plans are coming along nicely. Proceedings are on schedule to break ground early April 2015. We are super excited about our future home!

In April of 2014, Dr. Straus purchased property that borders the City of Stratford. By December 2015, Stratford Dental will have a new home!
